1 cup butter
4 tbsp water
1 tsp vanilla extract
6 tbsp cocoa powder
4 cups quick oats
1 ½ cup sugar
Chopped nuts
Desiccated coconut
Powdered sugar


With an electric mixer cream the butter with water. Then add the vanilla extract. Add the sugar, oats and cocoa powder and mix well with a wooden spoon. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls. (You might have to add a few more drops of water if the dough doesn’t stick together properly.)

Place the nuts, coconut and powdered sugar on separate shallow dishes. Roll some of the balls first in the powdered sugar and then the coconut and roll the remaining balls in the chopped nuts mixture. Place the finished balls onto a plate, cover and refrigerate for a few hours.
